Dead Band Running 5K

Individual online entry is $30 (we'll have extras, but we can only guarantee your shirt & size if you register by 10/28)

Race day registration opens at 6:00 pm on race day at the race site and is $5 additional (shirts will be available while supplies last).

STUDENTS...whether you're in Kindergarten or College...save $5 off your entry...just bring an ID with your to pickup you bib.

Special shirt option...Long sleeve shirt, Short sleeve, Tank Top...no problem...you get to choose.

We have several Bib/Packet pickup options available for you.

1. Bib Mail Out...for $2 you can have your bib mailed straight to your front door. We'll be sending them out on Monday of race week...so you'll just need to show up with enough time to get in the start coral. Once you finish, you can pick up your shirt and any goodies that might also be included.
2. Early Packet pickup...Friday Nov. 2 at Road Runner Sports on Johnson Ferry. 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
3. Race Day Pickup...Check in opens at 6:00 pm on the race evening. Be sure to arrive closer to 6:00 pm than 7:00 pm. We'll get you your bib, and then after you cross the finish line you can get your swag.

Event proceeds help the Pope High School Band keep dues affordable and replace Bessie, our aging band truck. She's on her last wheels, and we are a band on the move! Come run (or walk) with us at our second annual 5K and have some "Dead Band Running" fun!

Contributions are tax deductible and administered by the Pope Band Parents Association (PBPA), a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization that exists solely to support the needs of the Pope High School Band program. The IRS Tax ID is 58-1745105.

Then the virtual race is for you.

Here's how it works:

1. Register for the Virtual division & Start Training
2. The week of the event you'll receive your bib via email
3. The day before the race you'll receive instructions & a link to submit your race time
4. Submit your race time by end of race day
5. The day after the race results (Virtual division) will be posted online
6. Monday after the race you'll receive an email with a link to the results & any pictures.
7. Monday after the race we'll package up all the T-shirts, medals, and keepsake bibs; and put them in the mail.

This race/walk is for the Pope High School Band, we’ll have you moving and grooving! Our award winning color guard will lead us in pre-race stretching exercises, our awesome percussion section will start the race,

and our fabulous musicians will keep you going with live music on the course.

We will also have loads of community family fun from Day of the Dead style tattoos and face paint
to free food, fun photo ops, prize raffles and balloon art. We will also have a costume contest for the best Day of the Dead style, so if dressing up is your thing bring it on!

Free Entry into the Turkey Trot or Early Bird Races

• All participants will be eligible for free entry into the Five Star Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day or the Early Bird Turkey Trot on the Saturday before Thanksgiving...check out the website for more details: www.fivestarturkeytrot.com
  

Five Star 5K Championships

• Top finishers will earn a spot in the Five Star 5K championships to be held on 1/6/2019. Check out the web page.

Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.

All registrations are final...we're sorry, but there are no transfers, deferments, or refunds.
