Join us Sunday, July 15, 2018 for the Multicultural 5K Fun Run and 1K Kids Run. Whether you’re beginner looking to run your first race or training and looking for a timed run to work on pace, the 5k option caters to all levels.Those in need of a refreshing walk can explore the 5k route or 1k family route.
The primary distance is a 5K loop in the Fisher Lakes area of Rockwood Park. The trail is mostly a wide crushed-rock path with small sections on the road. The route will take participants on a breathtaking tour of the park's beautiful sites, enticing you to come for the run and stay for the day.
We have also partnered with RunNB to offer a youth series and therefore a family-friendly event. The 1K Kids run will begin near the beach and will be on a paved section of the park.
Following the run, participants will enjoy refreshments, including fresh brewed coffee, compliments of Starbucks East Point, and Pangea Spa will be on-site offering complimentary mini massages for runners. All kids will receive medals and free face painting! Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 runners in the 5K, following this, a draw will take place for great prizes to all who participate. Advance registrations are available via this site and are recommended.
