Wanuskewin Summer Run Training Sessions 2018
Learn To Run Training Clinic
Welcome to Brainsport Run Academy/Wanuskewin Learn To Run Summer Program.
Join coaches Giselle and Jill in this interactive and fun filled 7 week Learn To Run training course in prep for the Race Against Racism. This training course is intended to prepare you for the Race Against Racism but also to get your running off to a healthy start and to a healthy life time activity.
Our coaches Giselle and Jill are energetic runners who will love preparing you for a great run at the Race Against Racism.
I am originally from Meadow Lake, but currently call Saskatoon home. I work as a Program Coordinator at Saskatchewan Athletics. I am looking forward to coaching the LTR because I am still new to running and I am looking forward to meeting other runners in the community. I am especially excited to coach this LTR because we will get to explore the trails of Wanuskewin! Fun fact about me is I ran my first 10km at the Gingerbread Run in November.
I am from the English River First Nation, grew up in Meadow Lake and now call Saskatoon home. I am currently working as a teacher here in Saskatoon. I have coached track and field at the North American Indigenous games and I am excited to add this LTR coaching opportunity to my skill set. I enjoy running and I enjoy being outside so I am excited to see what the trails of Wanuskewin have to offer.
Join these two coaches as you train to run the 5km run at the Race for Racism, 2018.
Clinic Begins at Wanuskewin Heritage Park, Penner Road on Saturday, August 11/18, at 9:00 a.m.
Come prepared to run and learn.
Event geared for First time 5 km runners or runners coming back to running after a lengthy break.
