This Fall, September 29th marks the fourth year of the Xwaaquw’um (Burgoyne Bay on Saltspring Island) Trail Runs and Cultural Celebration.
Our goal is always to reconnect people and place and offer the chance to experience and appreciate the rich and ancient history of the Indigenous peoples of these lands. The day will start with a welcoming from Cowichan Knowledge Keeper Hwiemtun and a story of the the surrounding lands and their crucial roll in traditional education.
The runs will start shortly after and workshops will be help through the day for run participants, friends and family and the public.
Workshop, Salmon Dinner and Camping information will be posted as soon as all can be confirmed.
