My Story…
On September 29th, along with my family, we will be participating in the Sunnyside Post Mile Run/Walk to raise funds for Sunnyside Community Services, the organization where I proudly serve as Board President. We do amazing things for 14,000 people of all ages in Queens and throughout the City. By sponsoring me, your donation will help us to deliver programs to those who need it most. From a four-year old attending our pre-K program and a teenager preparing for college, to a homebound senior receiving a friendly visit and a nutritious meal. Some of the work I am most proud of is our efforts to support our immigrant neighbors. From English classes to connections to legal support, to benefit enrollment and community organizing, we are helping immigrants raise their collective voice in our community. I am proud to be raising funds to support Sunnyside Community Services---an organization that provides programming for people of all ages, including an onsite pre-K, afterschool programming, a center for older active adults, and home care services provided in a wide variety of languages. Thanks to participation and fundraising for the Sunnyside Post Mile Run, Sunnyside Community Services will continue to assist thousands of people each year through programs like these, and many more.
