My Story…
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. - Aesop
I have been given the honor of participating in the 2018 Paint Pittston Pink Gentleman’s Dash. Many great men have participated in this event during the last few years, and I am truly humbled that I was asked to participate.
I am a Datacenter Engineer with IntegraONE. I am also the 2nd Vice President of the Greater Pittston Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, Co-Chair of the Pittston City St. Patrick’s Parade, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Greater Pittston Stoners Youth Soccer Organization, and Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Pittston Knights of Columbus John F. Kennedy Council 372 Home Association.
While all of those titles and positions may sound impressive, the most important ones I hold are “husband” and “dad”. I reside with my wife, Lindsay and our children, Crosby and Chelsea in Pittston Township. They are my entire world, and I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
While my family has not been personally affected by cancer, I am running the Gentleman’s Dash in memory of Patrick J. Norwood, who lost his battle in June 2016. Along with being my high school soccer coach, he was a mentor and friend to me from a young age.
I may not be the fastest man in heels, but as Pat Norwood told a group of young men in 1994, “I’ll tell you right now, boys, we are playing for pride!”
Please support myself and all of the other Gentlemen running this year, as we help Paint Pittston Pink reach their goal of $100,000 in donations this year!
