We are joining forces again this year for Team “Walking with Sandy Toes” 4th annual participation in the Dewey Goes Pink breast cancer event. Our dear friend Sandy Ashby has been fighting breast cancer since 2013 and has undergone multiple surgeries and many rounds of chemo and radiation. She had her last surgery in Nov 2017 and all tumors were removed. From Jan to March 2018 Sandy completed 34 rounds of proton radiation and in May there was no evidence of the disease in her scans but she will continue to take a drug to keep fighting this awful disease. Sandy is something special and is truly an inspiration to all!! As a result the Walking with Sandy Toes team has taken on a life of its own and has earned trophies for the most money donated at the Dewey goes pink events. So let’s once again join Sandy in her fight against breast cancer and continue to raise money to find a cure for this horrible disease!
