Run Pres 5K 2018

Start the school year off with bragging rights by being one of 500 participants to complete the Run Pres 5K 2018, and show off your medal to family, friends and classmates. 

Whether you're coming to win, participate in friendly rivalry, run with your club or friends, collect the prized custom medal, or challenge yourself at your own pace - the inaugural Pres Run 5K promises to be a fun, safe environment to reward yourself for your effort. 

The Course:

Explore and challenge yourself on our new 5K course through the residential Union Hall neighbourhood, unlike any other 5K Race in the country. 

The race starts at the traditional sporting home of Presentation College San Fernando at Union Hall, and the first half the race proceeds along rolling hills, and flat stretches. The 2nd half is flat and descends rapidly towards the finish line at the Pres Union Hall Grounds. 

The well tested course has been accurately measured and run by our team of runners to give the exact 3.1 miles/ 5km distance.

The Medal:

For the limited registration spots available, all finishers will receive our custom medal that's been made specifically for this 2018 race! The recognizable monogram, widely known for its presence on the school uniform - now stands out on its own on a "Pres blue" custom ribbon branded with the "Presentation College"

For the medal collectors, race enthusiasts, alumni, and students of all schools - this is an absolute MUST HAVE for your 2018 stash! 

Prizes: 
Over TT$10000 (Ten Thousand) dollars in cash and prizes will be awarded at the end of the race. Cash and Prizes will be awarded for overall Male and Female winners, as well as various age group category winners, with special prizes and categories for current students of all schools. 

Race Management:

All aspects of the race are being managed by experienced road runners, with runners of all abilities in mind. All logistics and details that runners have come to expect are the main focus of the organizers with main focus being placed on, but not limited to: Timing, Results, Well-manned and sufficient Water Stops, Traffic Management, Race Marshals, Ambulance, Parking, and Security. 

Registration: 

Online Registration begins on 23rd August 2018, and goes until midnight on September 16th 2018. The cost of registration is TT$75, in addition to the processing fees associated with Race Roster. 

For persons without a credit card, Registration In Person is also available, however - due to the limited number of spaces, once all the spaces are gone, we will not be able to facilitate any additional runners. Bib Collection:

Please follow our event page on Facebook for dates, time and locations for your bib collection. For those persons who sign up in person, you will receive your bib as your "receipt"

Proceeds: 

"Where does your $75 go?" After covering the costs associated with ensuring that all of our registered runners have a comfortable, memorable and safe experience, the proceeds will go towards the refurbishment and upkeep of the Presentation College Union Hall grounds, which will be the start and finish line for the event. Participants, spectators and well-wishers are invited to roam the grounds, inspect the refurbished facilities, ongoing works and have a chat with the race directors to see how the proceeds will be used to provide and upkeep the recreational facility - as well as the future plans for further development phases.
