This year, turn back your clocks and go back in time to your favorite decade! The Wheeling Park District will be hosting a 5k run and 1 mile walk at the beautiful grounds of Chevy Chase Country Club. Don't miss this one of-a-kind event that is filled with fun! Runners are encouraged to come dressed in their best decade themed outfits.
Come join us for the 2018 "Turn Back Time 5K and mile run! It's a fun filled, decade themed running/walking event taking place at the beautiful grounds of Chevy Chase Country Club. Stick around after the race as we party it up and celebrate the past. Try the many different chili flavors and "alarm-clock" levels of chili with friends and family. We encourage all participants to dress up in their favorite 20s, 50s, 60s, 70s or 80s wear. Get out your spandex. Rock those side ponies, sweatbands and neon cut off tees; whatever your heart desires. Let's travel back in time and make some totally awesome memories.
All course paths are paved and are suitable for strollers. This event is sure to be a fun time for the whole family. Your favorite furry, leashed friends are welcome too! For additional questions, please contact us at any time.

LOCATION OF RACE
The Turn Back Time Run takes place at Traditions at Chevy Chase Golf Course located at 1000 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling. Plenty of parking is available at Chevy Chase Country Club. Please click here for directions to Chevy Chase Country Club.
THE COURSE
The Turn Back Time 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk takes runners through the scenic Traditions at Chevy Chase Golf Course. Runners use the paved golf cart path for most of the race. The course map is displayed below.
REGISTRATION
- Pre-registration fee is $25 (Must register before Nov. 1, 7:00 PM)
- Day-of registration fee is $30.

PACKET PICK UP
Pre-registered participants may pick up their bibs, t-shirts and packets November 2, from 12:00 - 7:00 PM, and November 3 from 8:00 am - 3:00 PM at the Community Recreation Center located at 100 Community Boulevard, Wheeling. If you are unable to pick up your packet during these days, you may do so at the check-in table the day of the event between 6:30 - 7:30 am. Day of registrants will receive their bibs, t-shirt (sizes based on availability) and packets at the time of registration.
THEMED OUTFITS
Although not mandatory to participate in this event, runners/walkers are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite decade wardrobe (e.g. 1920s, 60s, 80s, etc).
DAY-OF EVENT INFORMATION
Check-in begins at 6:30 AM and the Race starts promptly at 8:00 AM.
