Will-Kare Halloween Run

Saturday, October 27, 2018 – registration starts at 1:30pm, event starts at 2pm (it will be warmer in the afternoon). There will be paper registration as well.

Will-Kare Paving and Contracting Ltd. 95 Lower Truro Rd

A. $150 cheque to school running program that has the most participation. That means if a school has 10 participants and the next school has 5 participants, the school with 10 wins regardless if they they have 400 students or 50 students total in the school. It isn't a percentage. School must reside in Colchester County (in Will-Kare service area)

B. Best costumes. $100 in gift cards, 4 x $15 best costumes and 4 random draw $10 gift cards

NO Cost.  If you register here you will not need to register onsite.

3. Directions and Parking

Will-Kare is located on Lower Truro Rd. If you are travelling from Truro one of the easiest ways to get their is to go by the Tim Horton's on Willow and head towards the Highway just after Lawton's take a right and stay on that road. There will be parking in and around the area, try to carpool as much as possible to reduce congestion on race day.

4. Race Day Details

Toilets: – Will-Kare Paving and Contracting as part of their Sponsorship is providing access to their washrooms.

Fun run/walk Start: – just to the right of Will-Kare, the same start as last year so we can stay away from cars that might be crossing over the trail.

Timing: – none (you can time yourself)
Distance - any distance. The farthest will be out to the fence by the A&W and back. no formal races.
If people want to run 5km we can do that as well. You can run different distances they will be marked.

5. Age Categories and Distances

up to 5km or less depending on where you want to turn around.

6. Maps

all course maps are out and back heading towards Truro. The 3km run has a 1.5km turn around at start of the fence near A&W. The 4 and 5km will cross over the start time. it will be marked and we will have a volunteer on the course.

Why a Halloween Run?

why not, Halloween is a blast and why not get some exercise with friends and family

What type of food will be available after the race?

None. there is no cost, we are no longer doing treat bags.

I just want to run with my child?

great, we encourage it and there is no cost

Are you taking pictures?

Yes we will be posting pictures. It is all about the pictures. We will provide originals as well. There will be pictures on facebook.com/gotruro. There are pictures on there from last year.
