5k Boot Camp Bash is an untimed 5k that raises funds for the D.R.E.A.M.S. Foundation of Acadiana. D.R.E.A.M.S. is a nonprofit organization that provides opportunities and many activities for individuals with special needs. In addition to this, D.R.E.A.M.S. now has a place where adults with different disabilities can work; the D.R.E.A.M.S. Manufacturing Company! Here, special needs adults are employed and given the task of making meat pies that are distributed into the community. Finally, the "dream" of D.R.E.A.M.S. is to build a village where adults with special needs can live. This place will be called the Unity Village Community. Here, residents will live in groups of four with a "House Mom" designated to each house. Adults with special needs will finally have a place that they can call home! All proceeds from the 5k Boot Camp Bash go towards the D.R.E.A.M.S. Foundation of Acadiana!
