The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology partnered with the Madison Mini-Marathon & 5K presented by UW Health because we care about the women of Wisconsin and their families. The Mini is a family event that can be enjoyed by everyone at any activity level. The Mini experience includes a half-marathon, 5K and age-tiered Kid’s Run. There are also a variety of volunteer opportunities for those who are less competitive. Most of all, the Mini demonstrates a community coming together and having fun while engaged in healthy activities.

Ever wonder how much it costs to provide diapers for a baby for a week, a month or even a year?

The Healthy Women Healthy Babies Fund has calculated the costs and here is what it takes to keep a baby in diapers:

1 Day - $3 (a morning coffee) 

1 Week - $21 (a dinner at a restaurant)

1 Month - $87 (a ticket to a concert)

6 Months - $520 (the savings from lower fuel prices)

1 Year - $1040 (a trip to the Wisconsin Dells)  

The diapers you help donate will be distributed to local families that would otherwise be overwhelmed with the expenses.
