The Tumour Foundation of BC empowers children and adults living with neurofibromatosis (NF) through research, support and education. NF is the most common neurological disorder caused by a single gene. NF tumours grow on nerves throughout the body and can lead to deafness, bone deformities, learning disabilities, disabling pain, and cancer. NF affects more than two million worldwide and is more common than cystic fibrosis, Duchenne's muscular dystrophy and Huntington’s disease combined.
Currently, there is no cure for this genetic disorder, which is why your help and support are needed and means so much to our families.
By fundraising for the Tumour Foundation, you will have a direct impact on improving the care for the children across the province battling NF.
As a team member, you will receive a discount code for your registration fee, cool t-shirts, and other fundraising prizes. We kick off the event with a pasta party which is a great chance to meet the entire team before race day!
