The West End – Coal Harbour Community Policing Centre is a registered charity that works in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department. We deliver crime prevention education and personal safety awareness activities in the West End, Coal Harbour, and Stanley Park neighbourhoods in Vancouver. We are volunteer-powered, and act as a bridge between the police and the people that live, work and visit our area.
Community Policing comes from a different mindset than conventional policing. It is rooted in a desire for localized crime prevention methods rather than in a dependence on traditional crime control methods. With the support of the Vancouver Police Department, we involve regular community members to help with solving real problems and to enrich the community. Be part of the solution! Show your support for us by donating or participating. Train with your fellow participants, receive a team shirt to wear on race day, and attend a thank you BBQ when you join the WECHCPC ‘Cops and Runners’ team!
