My Story…
Looking forward to participating in my 6th Scotiabank Charity Challenge,and raising funds for the Grandview-Woodland Community Policing Centre. By participating in this event, I challenged myself to run my first 5k, and my first half marathon. It's hard to imagine that over this short period of time I have successfully raised over
$10 000 for a great neighbourhood organization. The funds my Team and I are able to raise this year will go to the creation of a neighbourhood mural. I look forward to seeing this project unfold as the summer moves along
Description
The Grandview-Woodland Community Policing Centre is dedicated to providing crime prevention assistance and education to the Commercial Drive corridor and surrounding area. Members of the community are encouraged, through education and engagement in volunteering with the GWCPC, to become active participants for increasing safety awareness and decreasing opportunities for crime to occur.
