Help Tiffani raise money

For participating in 2019 Scotiabank Vancouver Half-Marathon & 5k

My Story…

The Grandview-Woodland Community Policing Centre is located on Commercial Drive, a multicultural hot spot for the City of Vancouver. In celebration of our diversity, the GWCPC hopes to raise funds to assist in the implementation of two murals and utility wraps at various locations on "The Drive." These murals are meant to honour world wide Indigeneity. Our participants will follow ReStart's partnership model which guides the creative process with an Indigenous approach. The art itself will be conceived in partnership with Indigenous Elders and local Indigenous organizations. This project is in partnership with youth from the VPD Access, Recreation and Culture Program that works in collaboration with ACCESS situated in the Vancouver Friendship Centre, VPD Cadets from the VPD Indigenous Cadet Program and Indigenous artist mentors.

Description

The Grandview-Woodland Community Policing Centre is dedicated to providing crime prevention assistance and education to the Commercial Drive corridor and surrounding area. Members of the community are encouraged, through education and engagement in volunteering with the GWCPC, to become active participants for increasing safety awareness and decreasing opportunities for crime to occur.
