My Story…
hi, my name is Laurie. I'm 52 years old and am with cerebral palsy,ataxia and a tracheotomy.
I've been in Vancouver,BC for 3-4 years now. Originally I lived and grew up in Courtena,BC.
I have been doing this marathon for now 4 years.
The reason I to do this.marathon for SCI-BC,is because they offer so many opportunities for persons with physical disabilities. Not just paraplegics or quads,but for all physical disabilities.
Here are examples of what they offer; cooking classes,exercise equipment,online chats,education and many other events and supports.
