My Story…
Hi everyone, thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Dixon Transition Society and Forge Family. I am so excited to do the Scotiabank 5K run this year. I am out of shape but that's okay lol because I'm going to get in shape in three weeks. I'll do my best and I hope to reach my fundraising goal of $500! If you don't know about Dixon Transition Society, they run safe homes and other important programs for women and children who had to leave their homes because of domestic violence. Right now, the Children's Programs are at risk because they won't get anymore funding for this vital program soon. I hope that together we can help to keep the Children's Programs alive and support Dixon House. I know it's a scary time for any kid who has to go to a safe home and leave everything behind so this is SO IMPORTANT. Any little bit helps! Description
It takes a village to raise a child, including those who come through our doors. At Dixon, we strive to be that village. When you run, walk, or donate to Dixon, you become a part of that village, too. Our Child Support program supports children in their journey towards healing by offering fun yet educational activities. The program is also designed to support moms and children break the cycle of abuse in their lives. With your help, kids who have experienced violence can reach their potential and contribute to creation of communities where women and children are free from violence
