Year of the Pig 2019
The CCHP Chinese New Year Run is an annual fundraiser benefiting Chinatown YMCA’s Physical Education Program (PEP) and Community Center, which serves 1,600 youth and families in Chinatown with wellness and community programs each week.
ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES WEDNESDAY, 2/27/19 at 11:59pm pst.
Walk up registrations are welcome before or on race day at 855 Sacramento Street.

Race & Course
RACE OVERVIEW & REFUNDS: Rain or shine, THE RACE IS ON! Start time is 8:00am and will got for 1.5 hours, or until 9:30am. Runners may start lining up at 7:15am. There are no refunds for this event.
COURSE OVERVIEW: Our Course is a 5K RUN/WALK or a 10K RUN (no 10K walkers, please) and starts at 8:00AM on Grant Avenue/Sacramento Street. It finishes at 9:30am on Kearny/Sacramento Street. The course has some short hills but is mostly flat. Mile markers along the way are on the right side of the course. The 5K is one time around the course and the 10K is two loops around the course. Please see the course map below.
COURSE MAP:
NO BANDITS: All participants on the course are to be regitered and wearing the official bib#. BANDIT RUNNERS/WALKERS who have not registered and are not wearing bib#'s will be asked to leave the course by the course Marshals and will not be allowed in the finish line chutes.
Parking & Transportation
PARKING: Paid parking is avaialble at Portsmouth Square Garage (Kearny St. @ Clay St.) and Sutter Stockton Garage (333 Sutter St. @ Stockton St.). Street Parking is avaialble if you arrive early, but please do not park in designated "RACE COURSE/NO PARKING" areas, block garages, or park in private lots. Meteredparking is not free on Sundays.

Post Race & Awards
POST RACE: Join us at Portsmouth Square for post-event awards, refreshments, and fun for the family! We will have water and fruit available, goody bags, winner announcements, and presentation of the best dressed PIG! Visit booths from our sponsors and the Chinatown YMCA for more goodies.
RACE RESULTS: We will be using Chipped timing! You will be able to get you times right away and will email all participants the site where they can find their results.
AWARDS: Top finishers in each category (male and female for youth and adult) will receive special awards from our generous sponsors. Prizes will be awarded to the Best Dressed Pig!
Additional Information
SWEAT CHECK: Available at the Chinatown YMCA. We do not advise leaving valuables in your sweat check bag. This is a courtesy check and the Chinatown YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
RESTROOMS: Restrooms pre and post race are available at the Chinatown YMCA or at the post race festival at Portsmouth Square.
WATER & FIRST AID STATIONS: There are two water & first aid stations along the course. The first is approximately 1.2 miles into the course at Embarcadero and North Point; the second approximately 2.1 miles at Embarcadero and Washington Street. Should you are anyone you see require immediate assistance, course monitors along the route can immediately contact race officials.

Bib & Shirt Pick-Up
You can pick up your Bib and T-Shirt at the Chinatown YMCA @ 855 Sacramento St during the following times:
Friday, March 1st from 9:00am - 6:00pm
Saturday, March 2nd from 9:00am - 3:00pm
Race day, Sunday, March 3rd from 7:00am - 8:00am
If you have your bib mailed to you, you will still need to pick up your T-shirt during the above times.
