Take Stock in Children Palm Beach

Break the cycle – pay it forward. That’s the motto of Take Stock in Children, which has been changing young people’s lives through education for 23 years. Scholarships, mentors and hope are the foundation of our program.  We provide social and emotional support and work one-on-one with students to provide ongoing academic advising and post-secondary resources. Take Stock in Children Palm Beach targets students ages 16-22 to offer hope for a brighter future. We currently serve about 550 students in 29 Palm Beach County schools and expect to serve close to 600 by the end of the 2018-2019 school year. About 98 percent of students are college-bound with a guaranteed scholarship. Our program also serves 640 college students. By promoting self-worth, responsibility and academic success, Take Stock in Children helps at-risk students break the cycle of crime, poverty and failure. Our goal is to ensure that students have access to post-secondary opportunities, an effort critical to our nation’s future.
