Help Vanessa raise money

As soon as I learned that the 2019 Sheraton Celebrity Dance Off partner was to be Friends of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, I knew I would “strap on my cobwebbed dancing shoes”. I am a Medical Specialty Nurse and I am so proud of the work providers and volunteers do every day to serve patients. I am also very aware of the ongoing needs and humbled that this fundraiser will add care items. I am passionate about excellence and equity in healthcare and for this reason I co-organize “Time is Muscle”. This event raises funds and awareness for Cardiac Care in Central Alberta, as heart attack is our leading cause of death. While Red Deer is the place I have called home most of my life, my early years were spent in Kenya. The Serengeti drew me back a few years ago on a medical aid trip with my husband Gustavo. Since then, we lead projects for schools in the area. I look forward to dancing and helping improve patients’ journeys! Now to dust off some cobwebs...
