Soames Grinder
Get ready to grind your legs!
Dress up and celebrate Halloween with a 6 hour endurance challenge! You have 6 hours to do as many loops of Soames Hill as possible!
Soames Hill is located in Gibsons, BC and the loop is about 1.7km in total. The race starts at the parking lot at the end of Esperanza Rd. It will then take you to the east side of the hill and you go up about 400 steps to the top. Feel free to enjoy the views before heading down the west side, also known as the easy side with "only" about 300 steps. Head back to the parking lot and do it all over again and again and again. You have a total of 6 hours to get in as many loops as possible. Your last loop has to start before the 6 hours run out.
We will have an aid station at the top of Soames Hill with Halloween candy, Tailwind Nutrition and water and an aid station in the parking lot with refreshment, beer/cider and Tailwind. Run a loop, have a beer or cider and run another loop.
As the event is close to Halloween, we encourage racers to dress up and we will have a prize for the best dressed racer as well.

Does 6 hours seem like a lot?! Join up with your friends and family and make a relay team! Take turns doing the loops, do as many as you can before the next person takes over. It's all up to you! We will have 2 and 4 person relays.

Individual: $60
Two person relay: $100 per team
Four person relay: $160 per team

8:00 - 8:30am: Package pick up and check-in

9:00am: Start
3:00pm Finish (last loop has to be started before the clock hits 6 hours)
