2019 5K SCADaddle for Research -
San Diego, CA
Saturday, September 28, 2019 - Crown Point Park
Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little known and poorly understood cause of a heart attack. Most patients are young, healthy and active women who do not have the typical risk factors of heart disease. Although less common, it can affect men too. SCAD can recur and can be fatal. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options.
SCAD is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women & new moms.
Our chip timed 5K run/walk takes place on the east side of Crown Point Park on Mission Bay. Enjoy the course along the bay on the bayside walkway. Register by Sept. 8 to guarantee this year's t-shirt.
