For participating in West Coast 5K SCADaddle for Research - San Diego, CA

Our story…

Even though it has been eight years since my sister did not survive a heart attack caused by a spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), it is hard to believe that she is gone and gone so quickly. Judy was 51 years young and in great health when a tear formed in a layer of one of the arteries to her heart, blocking blood flow and causing a heart attack. Rick and I are participating in the 5th annual 5K SCADaddle for Research in San Diego, CA on Sept. 28. Funds raised will help to support research on the #1 cause of a heart attack in women under age 50, pregnant women and new moms. Fortunately most survive and even though they survive their lives are forever altered. Those who don't survive leave behind loved ones in shock with few answers. Please consider supporting our team by making a donation. Better yet, register and join us in San Diego on Sept. 28!
