My Story:
Hi, friends! After being diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma 3.5 years ago, a rare cancer for which there's no cure, I have undergone a difficult cancer journey. From multiple major surgeries to chemotherapy to immunotherapy to hospital stays to radiation- I've run the gamut. I'm so grateful to say that right now, I'm in a season of pretty good health and relatively manageable treatments, so I'm going to attempt to run this 10K in July.
The REASON I want to run: all the fundraising this year goes towards a place very near and dear to my heart: Wellspring Edmonton. This place and these people have done SO MUCH for me in my journey. Wellspring is a place that offers such beautiful non-medical supports to cancer patients, it can really make all the difference! I'm running with Vic, Martin, Marilyn & Kathy.
