Glenaqua Triathlon

Ages 13 and up:  300 meter swim - 5.5 mile bike - 2 mile run

Kids Triathlon

Ages 10 to 14:  100 meter swim - 1 mile bike ride - 1 mile run

Ages 8 to 9:  50 meter swim - 1 mile bike - 1/2 mile run

Ages 7 and under:  25 meter swim - 1 mile bike - 1/2 mile run

* Race age is based on USAT criteria and is determined by one’s age on December 31st of the race year.

SANCTIONING & PRICING

• This is a USAT sanctioned event and will require USAT membership.

** Registration Fee valid until June 1, 2019
** Registration Fee from June 2, 2019 to June 7, 2019 increase +$5.00
** Registration Fee on June 8, 2019 increase +$10.00

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

• All participants get a race t-shirt.
  • Race shirts are not guaranteed with registrations after May 25, 2019.
• All finishers get a medal. First place and second place division awards TBD.
• All participants will receive a free meal at the Glenaqua pancake breakfast held after the race.
• Packet pick-up will be held at Glenaqua Pool on Friday, June 7, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
• All participants must show a photo ID to pick up their packet and show their USAT membership card.
  
  

RACE INFORMATION:

• SWIM
  • This is a pool swim at Glenaqua outdoor pool. Start will be a time trial start.
  • Kids start will be in waves.
• BIKE
  • The adult bike course is open to traffic with police assistance at major intersections.
  • The kids’ bike course will be through New Glenwood Subdivision. It will be open to vehicles, but volunteers will be stationed throughout to assist.
• RUN
  • The run course will be through New Glenwood Subdivision. It will be open to vehicles, but volunteers will be stationed throughout to assist.

OTHER INFORMATION:

• All results will include overall time only. Post-race results will be put up on the website as soon as available.  Go to Results.
• Only helmets approved by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) may be used. Helmets must always be worn with chin straps buckled while on your bike. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THIS RULE.
• Only the participants will be able to be in the transition area. Participants will be the only one allowed to pick up bike and equipment after the race.
• Water will be available at the transition area and the half way point of the run only. You must furnish your own water on the bike course.
• No personal audio devices or headsets may be used or carried during any portion of the event.
• Kids Triathlon
  • We encourage you to allow the children to compete without assistance; however, parents are allowed to help their kids.
  • Training wheels are allowed.
    
    

PARKING:

• Parking will be not be available in the Glenaqua Pool parking lot. Parking is available a short walk from the pool at Good Shepard Church, 4700 Vance Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN  46815
  
  

CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS:

• If weather forces a cancellation the event will not be rescheduled.
• Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
