Our story…

The Washington DC Alumnae Chapter (WDCAC), Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, chartered on February 3, 1921, hosts fundraisers and seeks sponsorships with community partners to help fund its scholarships to students and various programs that serve to benefit DC residents. The WDCAC annually awards scholarships to deserving students from the DC area. Last year, WDCAC awarded $38,500 in academic scholarships to both new and continuing students. In addition, WDCAC awards “Trunk Scholarships" which are an award that provides college students with essentials needed to start their academic year off successfully including bedding, irons, school supplies, towels, and toiletries neatly packed in a portable trunk.
