Bridge to Bridge Run

July 4, 2020 ... 2020 Bridge to Bridge 4 Mile Run has been cancelled because of Corona Virus caused safety concerns. Current registrants may roll their registration over to the Sept. 6, 2021 Bridge to Bridge run or receive a refund. 2021 Bridge to Bridge registration and details to be released soon. 2020 Registrants will be notified by email, or may check IVS or B2B Facebook, Website, or Race Roster for details (will be posted in early July 2020).

Since it's inaugural running in 2012, the Bridge to Bridge 4 mile race has become one of the premier running events in the area. The run starts on Water Street, outside R C Outfitters (Formerly Running Central; 311 SW Water St, Floor 1, Peoria, Illinois 61602), at 7:00a, goes north to Liberty St. where a left turn takes the route two block up to Adams St, for another left turn south to Kumpf Blvd, and another left turn onto the Bob Michel Bridge, crossing over the Illinois River. Leaving the bridge, the route crosses River Road and enters the East Peoria River Trail to Clock Tower Drive, then crosses the East Peoria Levee District, and returns across the river to Peoria via the Cedar Street Bridge, turns north on Washington St to Walnut St, where the course turns toward the river to Water St, and finishes back at Running Central. Water Stops will be near mile markers 1 and 2, near mile 3 at Washington and Pecan St., and at the start/finish line. The Post Race Celebration and Awards will be at the CEFCU Center Stage, 200 N. Water St, just North of the Peoria Riverfront Museum and Caterpillar Visitor Center.
