Join us at the 15th annual Run for Mercy 5K & Family Walk!
When you Run for Mercy, you support Mercy Canada's residential program for young women who struggle with life-controlling issues, such as eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, physical and sexual abuse, depression, unplanned pregnancies, and sex trafficking. Our residential program is voluntary, Christ centred, and completely free of charge to young women ages 19-30 across Canada. It lasts approximately 6-9 months and is designed to address the whole person – spirit, soul, and body.
Register as an individual or with a team! Everyone runs or walks for different reasons, but our goal is the same: to see young women experience hope and freedom.
We encourage a personal fundraising goal of $500. While our program is free of charge to the young women we serve, our financial resources depend on the support of friends of Mercy. For many, fundraising can be an intimidating task. But don’t sweat it! It’s easier than you think. Click here for our 10 tips!
Prizes will be awarded to the top individual and top team fundraisers at the event so start fundraising today! Individuals who raise $175 or more before May 11 will receive our exclusive Mercy Canada water bottle for FREE! Prizes will also be awarded to the biggest team, and fastest male and female runners!
Mercy Canada (CRA #872742309RR0001) is a non-profit Christian organization dedicated to helping young women break free from a variety of life-controlling issues, such as eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, physical and sexual abuse, depression, unplanned pregnancies, and sex trafficking. Since 1983, Mercy has provided hope and healing to thousands of hurting young women through our free-of-charge residential program and outreach resources and activities. The first Canadian home opened in 2010.
The Run for Mercy 5K & Family Walk raises necessary awareness and funds to provide a safe place for young women to heal. All funds raised will benefit the young women in our program, which includes 24/7 residential care, individual and group counselling, nutritional education, biblical teaching, fitness training, educational preparation, transitional planning, and aftercare.
