It’s all about the challenge, the community and the trails.
The inaugural Sp’akw’us 50 sold out all 600 entries in 2017. In 2018, the event grew from a single day event to a 3-Race Event. For 2019 we continue with hosting a 3-Race Event including the Sp’akw’us Challenge (a 2-Day Stage Race), and the individual events, the Sp’akw’us 50 (Saturday) & the Sp’akw’us 35 (Sunday) .
Entries for 2019 go on sale January 16, 2019 at 6:00pm PST.
Participants can choose between riding Saturday only, Sunday only, or the combined 2 days in the Sp'akw'us Challenge format. The Sp’akw’us 50 will be a similar course to last year, with enhancements expected for the Sp’akw’us 35.
The various race offerings provide something for everyone. One day enough? Enjoy a race suited to your interest and ability level with the 50 km or 35 km options. Come for the one-day race, stay for the 2-day party. But for those of you who want more, test your grit in the 2-day Challenge.
Registration for all events will open on January 16, 2019 at 6 pm PST.
Registration for the Sp'akw'us is open to all riders (restrictions for <17), both recreational and licensed. Placings for this event will be awarded in order of finish per category regardless of whether or not that rider is a Cycling BC member. The BC Premiere XCM Series eligibility is outlined below.
-IMPORTANT INFORMATION- Only those individuals with a valid Cycling BC License will have their points tallied for the BC Premiere XCM Series and the BC XCM Championships. If you feel that you want to compete in the series or for the championship title then please visit Cycling BC to get your 2019 Cycling BC Race License.
All race entries will automatically be eligible for the BC Premiere XCM Series if you obtain your Cycling BC Race License subsequent to race registration but prior to the event. If you purchase your 2019 Cycling BC Race License after registering for the Sp'akw'us 50 then you will need to report to a Cycling BC official at package pick-up.
