Just because you aren't riding or running, doesn't mean you can't join the fun. We need plenty of volunteers to ensure Venus de Miles participants are well supported and are having a blast!
Some of the available volunteer positions include:
Event Set Up (Friday, September 27, 2019) - Help create the epic finish festival from the group up!
Rest Stops - distribute food and water to participants; cheer them on as they go by. Our biggest need and our most interactive!
Registration / Packet Pick Up - check in participants and distribute number bib packets. Open from 5:30 am to 9 am only.
Merchandise Tent - help the Venus de Miles sales staff find requested sizes and keep inventory organized. Open from 9 am to 3 pm only.
Gear Check - help riders stow their belongings while they ride or run.
Course Marshal – direct riders and runners on course
Festival Support - cheer riders at the finish line, keep water stations refilled, and hand out ice-cold towels to riders when they finish
Festival Tear Down - bring the event to a close by helping store chairs, pick up recyclables and trash, and leave the space as clean as we found it. Available from 3 pm to 5 pm only.
Tutu Crew - join the group of fabulously dressed men who provide on-course support to our riders. Please email ktodd@greenhousescholars.org to sign up
We are also looking for volunteers to fill the following specialized positions:
Support Car - help riders along the course who need water, sunscreen, or a ride back to the finish.
Support Motorcycle
Medical Services (Doctors, Nurses, EMTs, etc.)
Bicycle Mechanics
Massage Therapists
Musicians

Event Set-Up Volunteers
Are you riding in Venus de Miles but looking for another volunteer opportunity?
We need help with set up on Friday, August 16th! Shifts are available between 9 am and 7 pm. Volunteer willing to help for 4 hours will receive $20 off registration. Please email Kate at ktodd@greenhousescholars.org if you are interested in helping out!
