EPIC Canadian - Run for Canada
The 2019 EPIC Canadian Run For Canada events are again hosted at Grahams Grove Park on the shores of Lake Banook in Dartmouth, starting Monday, July 1st, at 8AM for The Maple Leaf 10K, followed at 9:30AM by The Canadian 5K. We will use the same race format EPIC pioneered within Canada in 2014, the EPIC Double-In-A-Day: two distances, back-to-back, 90 minutes apart, for a total of 15K, and the additional challenge of posting your best total time for the 15K distance as well. 5K, 10K, 15K - your choice!
Our early registration options are now closed, but we have spots available right up to race day with our affordable EPIC "Just Run" options, and a have created a special 'Late Registration' category for those who would still like to recognize their 2019 participation with a medal.
Run or Walk the Maple Leaf 10K at 8AM, or the Canadian 5K at 9:30AM - or do both and receive your combined time for the 15K distance as well. Both courses are Athletics Canada Distance Certified™, well marked & signed, with both police and volunteer traffic control, and fully supported for both Runners and Walkers at all levels. There are portable toilets and multiple water stops en route, and refreshments at the finish line - including bagels and Canada Day Cake!
We'll have a selection of classic EPIC Canadian race shirts and other Canadian and EPIC Canadian branded gear available for sale at race kit pick up and on site, or bring your own red & white Canadian-themed gear to celebrate the joy of Active Living with us on July 1st!

Race Kit Pick Up Details
You will be able to pick your race kit up on Wednesday, June 26th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm and Thursday, June 27th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the race host hotel, the Hearthstone Inn located at 313 Prince Albert Road, Dartmouth. And again on Monday, July 1st beginning at 7:00am to race close. Not sure where the race site is? 45 Graham's Grove, Dartmouth.

Canada Medals
We were overwhelmed by the positive response to the first of the "CANADA" medals last year, and are excited to share 2019's Bonus medal design. You will be able to earn this third medal through completing the EPIC Double-In-A-Day, or through a Canada Medals Virtual Run (see the EPIC Race Feature Chart, and images of all our 2019 medals, below).
Earning each CANADA medal is a special achievement, and we also need to find ways to be as inclusive as possible, giving every participant a chance to partake, even if they are new to running, or need to spread their two events out over more than a single day. To address this need, we have added CANADA Medals Catch Up VIRTUAL RUN registration options that will allow a 2019 participant to complete their EPIC Canadian distances on their own to earn the C or A medal. ('C' Medal Catch Up 'A' Medal Catch Up - check graphic below for all the options) Please see below for the importance of registering by May 30th if you would like to have your Virtual Kits mailed on June 10th; we will take registrations beyond this date but that date is important to give us the most time to mail to you.

The EPIC Goodr Double-In-A-Day adds a custom designed pair of Epic Canadian Goodr sunglasses to the race kit. These are the very same, insanely popular polarized, no-bounce sunglasses that have become the running world's most regarded piece of gear. |
