POSTPONED UNTIL FALL 2019
5K Run/Walk to Benefit Union City Music Project
DUE TO UNANTICIPATED CONSTRUCTION ON PALISADE AVENUE,
UCMP'S 5/18/19 5K HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO FALL 2019
NEW DATE FOR OUR 5K WILL BE POSTED AND REGISTRATION RE-OPENED SOON!
Join us for Union City Music Project's first "Running In Harmony" 5K Walk/Run and 1 Mile Kids Run on Sat., May 18th from 8 am-1pm at Washington Park, 2nd Street and Palisade Avenue, Union City, NJ. (USATF approved course NJ18522JHP)
Your running will benefit UCMP's low-cost Orchestral Music Education Program, which for six years has taught Hudson County's at-risk children and youth to play strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion in a safe and creative environment. Our Children's and Youth Orchestras play regularly throughout Northern NJ and in NYC, from NJPAC to Carnegie Hall's DiMenna Center and United Palace.
Being part of an orchestra builds self-esteem, teamwork, and self-confidence, while it improves reading and math skills and behavior. Our young musicians succeed in school, graduate from high school, and go on to employment and college, helping to break the local cycle of poverty.
Run in harmony with us! Help UCMP provide a better future
for Hudson County's children and youth - through music!
