A Benefit for Make-A-Wish® Hawaii
Let's come together to support local keiki facing critical illnesses who need our support .

For the third year in a row, we are raising funds for Make-A-Wish Hawaii to help grant wishes for local children with critical illnesses. Last year, we experienced a wish and know that the healing power it brings is real. Wishes provide hope and strength for families and can be the turning point for a child to see life beyond a diagnosis.
Wish kids are some of the bravest and sweetest kids you'll ever know. They wish to be a chef for a day, meet their favorite superhero, have a personalized play set, or go to a place they have always dreamed of. Wishes so simple yet ones that make a world of a difference for keiki like 5-year-old Kanilea of Kailua.
Kanilea was born with a rare, complex genetic disorder, which has caused her to be sensitive to light and prone to seizures. Although Kanilea could not explain what would make the most impact on her life, Cara and fellow wish granters worked together with her parents to create the perfect wish.
If there is anyone who knows Kanilea, it is super-mom Zellie. She spends her days caring for Kanilea and has even begun taking courses in special education to assure that she provides the best environment and care for her daughter. So, when it came to Kanilea’s wish, Zellie knew exactly what she would want: an ADA swing set. The swing set would give Kanilea her own special play area where she could be surrounded by the people she loves.
Many people in the community came together to work on Kanilea’s wish, including Tardus Wealth Strategies, who adopted her wish. Volunteers then worked to build her a family area with an ADA swing set. They even built a garden with purple foot pedals that Kanilea can use to water the plants.
“Kanilea’s wish is a gift that will last her entire childhood. It was great seeing her big brother on his swing next to her,” said Tanisha Souza, Chief Wealth Coach at Tardus Wealth Strategies. “The entire family could be together as she was having a joyful time. You can’t imagine the feeling.”
Make-A-Wish Hawaii grants hundreds of unique wishes each year. A lot, yes but their work is not done. We are fundraising so more deserving kids and their families can know the joy, relief, and renewal that a wish can bring.

Our Story
In 1997, a Bay Area girl met a Kauai boy on Oahu while working as a law clerk for a federal judge in Honolulu after law school graduation. They married in 1999. They say that necessity is the mother of invention.
Following two tumultuous years of litigation law practice that Tanisha endured at busy law firms in both California and Honolulu, the Souzas took a leap of faith into real estate investing and achieved financial freedom. Soon thereafter, Tanisha quit practicing law, and they became co-founders of a Honolulu franchise of the former mortgage-acceleration company, Tardus America.
Tanisha spent several years and dozens of prototypes developing and perfecting a “robo-investor” calculator that could help a person create massively growing passive income and eliminate debt simultaneously while projecting a person’s financial freedom date – in most cases within 5 to 10 years. Because of the outrageous speed in which a person could potentially replace their earned income with passive income by following the calculator’s recommendations, Tanisha appropriately named it the Income Snowball. She was granted a patent for it in 2014.
Today Tardus Wealth Strategies is an international wealth-coaching company with clients world-wide and a single office headquartered in Honolulu. Tardus works with Tardus Preferred Vendors s throughout the country that offer income producing financial products and services that can be used with the Income Snowball system. The Tardus Wealth Coaches work with clients on a monthly basis to help them create a predictable system for affording virtually anything from private school tuition to buying a second home in Paris.
The Souzas have a passion for teaching people how to live their dreams by quickly building passive income without risk. Tanisha Souza, J.D., is an author, professional keynote speaker, wealth and passive income coach, and entrepreneur.

Make-A-Wish® Hawaii creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We seek to bring every eligible child’s wish to life, because a wish is an integral part of a child’s treatment journey.
Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight their illness. Headquartered in Honolulu, Make-A-Wish Hawaii is considered one of the top charities in the state, with 78 cents of every dollar raised going directly toward granting wishes in Hawaii.
One of the first local Make-A-Wish chapters established, Make-A-Wish Hawaii continues to be among the busiest in the nation. Together, generous donors, supporters, staff and more than 700 volunteers have granted over 1,300 wishes for children across the state of Hawaii since 1982 and have hosted more than 14,000 others for children around the world; the chapter granted nearly 100 local wishes in 2018 alone, the most in its 35-year history. For more information about Make-A-Wish Hawaii, visit Hawaii.wish.org.
Each year, 120 local children are newly diagnosed with a critical medical condition and our vision is to reach each and every one of them with the power of a wish. All of our fundraising efforts benefit local wish children and all proceeds remain right here in the State of Hawaii – thank you for helping make wishes come true!
