The Zach D'Souza Smiles 4 Miles : 4v4 Soccer Tournament
Zachary D’Souza was 17 ½ years old when he died at home, peacefully, November 2, 2010. He valiantly battled Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for 2½ years before he succumbed to the disease.
Zachary was an impressive student and athlete. He continued to compete at a highly competitive level in both of his favourite sports: hockey and soccer – even while on treatment. The Zachary D’Souza Smiles4Miles 4 v 4 Soccer Tournament was created to help us remember and celebrate the qualities that Zach was famous for – smiles from the heart, a competitive spirit, team work, friendship and the pursuit of excellence.
