In the spring of 2015 Donna Shepard lost a treasured staff member - Shannon Mabe. Shannon was an amazing teacher who touched the lives of both the students and the DSIS family. Shannon's Run is an event to honor Shannon and bring awareness to Melanoma Cancer. This year's event will take place on Saturday, May 4th at Rose Park, Mansfield, Tx. There will be a 1K run at 8:00am followed by a Timed 5K run at 8:30. All money will go towards the Shannon Mabe Excellence in Teaching Scholarship - awarded to a Legacy Senior and Melanoma Research.
