Exercise Your Heart
Last year’s event saw over 500 participants and over $58,000 was raised.
We invite you to don your capes for the 1K fun run, the 5K race or the 5K adaptive race!
We need YOUR help to reach this year's goal of raising $80,000!
We encourage you to collect donations from your colleagues, friends, and families. The proceeds from this event directly benefit children and youth with a wide range of special needs from physical disabilities, to developmental delays, to more complex challenges. Funds raised will provide help to more children and youth in Guelph to access important services, programs, support, and essential equipment to live the best lives possible.
Don't Miss Out!

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
IS THERE A REGISTRATION FEE FOR THE SUPERHERO RUN?
Yes there is. Your registration fee helps to cover the cost of running the event itself, so that all of the money you raise and donate can be used to help children with special needs.
DO I HAVE TO RAISE FUNDS IN ADDITION TO PAYING THE REGISTRATION FEE?
Yes, please! All adult participants in the Super Hero Run set a minimum fundraising goal of at least $50, and we'll be here every step of the way to help you reach your goal! All of the money that you raise will be used to help children and youth with special needs to receive life-changing therapy. See where your money goes!
CAN I PICK UP MY REGISTRATION PACKAGE AND BIB BEFORE THE EVENT?
Yes! Pre-registration pick up will happen on Saturday June 15 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Running Works in Guelph (89 Gordon St).
ONE OF OUR TEAM MEMBERS IS HAVING TROUBLE RAISING THE $50 MINIMUM. WHAT DO WE DO?
If a team member is having trouble raising funds, help them out! Get together, have a bake sale or other fundraising event, make it a team effort. Remember, the money you raise helps fund life-changing therapy for children and youth allowing KidsAbility to offer valuable programs and services for families.
I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND THE SUPERHERO RUN. CAN MY REGISTRATION FEE BE REFUNDED OR TRANSFERRED TO SOMEONE ELSE IN MY PLACE?
We are very sorry you are unable to attend. KidsAbility does not refund registration fees, and we do not transfer fees to another person. We can, however, convert your registration fee to a donation and extend a charitable receipt to you. Please call our office to make a request.
HOW MANY MEMBERS CAN I HAVE ON MY TEAM?
The suggested number of team members is 10-12 per team. This allows for fairness and equity for team fundraising recognition. If you have a larger team, please contact our Registration Chair for suggestions on working together as 2 teams.
CAN SOMEONE NOT REGISTERED COME WATCH?
Absolutely! You can drop by anytime to support and cheer on friends and family, make a donation or just to watch and enjoy the spirit of the event.
WHEN WILL TAX RECEIPTS BE ISSUED FOR DONATIONS?
Donors who've pledged online will receive electronic tax receipts by e-mail within minutes of making their donation. Offline donation tax receipts are sent out as soon as possible after the event, with the intent of having all receipts out by the end of the calendar year.
CAN I GET A TAX RECEIPT FOR PURCHASING ITEMS AT THE EVENT?
No. When you buy a item, you are purchasing a product and receiving a benefit; therefore it is not a gift and not eligible for a tax receipt under Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
DO I HAVE TO COLLECT THE DONATIONS FROM THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE AGREED TO PLEDGE ME?
Yes. You should ask your pledgers to give you their generous donation at the same time they pledge you — except for online pledges — which are paid by credit card immediately during the online pledging process.
