The Mimosa Bay Turkey Trot is a neighborhood 5k and 1/2 mile fun run. Since 2012 the Mimosa Bay Turkey Trot has raised funds for the Marine Raider Foundation through generous sponsor and individual donations as well as from race registration proceeds. The Marine Raider Foundation was established to provide benevolent support to active duty and medically retired MARSOC personnel and their families as well as to the families of Marines and Sailors who have lost their lives in service to our Nation. Our local community in particular has seen the great support provided by the Marine Raider Foundation. All monetary donations from our sponsors and profits from registration are sent directly to the Marine Raider Foundation.
We will continue with a staggered start to allow our moderately paced participants a head start. No need to commit to a pace yet, just line up at the correct time based on how you are feeling on race day. Those expecting to run/walk 5km slower than 35 minutes will be in Wave 1 at 8:30am and those who can run the 5k in less than 35 minutes will line up with Wave 2 at 8:45am. This is now a chip timed event. All 5k finishers will receive a custom medal.
Don't forget to rally your family, team, co-workers and neighbors. The first member to register will create the team name. There are no team restrictions, although we ask you keep team names appropriate to a family event. Each team member will receive $1 off their registration fee and the team able to rally the most participants by 8am November 27th, will receive a prize on race day.
Sign up the whole family at one time and receive $1 off each additional registrant.
We love our festive runners, so this year we will have a prize for best costume. Again, this is a family event, so please ensure costumes are appropriate for children's eyes.

8:45am: 5k start for Runners who expect to run faster than 35 minutes
9:30: Awards and Raffles

The 5k is a single event split into multiple waves based on expected completion time. This allows all our participants to finish in a more consolidated time frame and maximize participation at our awards ceremony. There are not separate prizes for each wave. 5k participants who expect to complete 5km in more than 35 minutes will line up with Wave 1 by 8:30am. Faster runners who expect a 5k completion in less than 35 minutes will be in Wave 2 at 8:45am. Kids who will be 14&under on race day will automatically receive a $5 age discount at checkout to allow more family involvement.

This one is for the kids so we've restricted the ages (10&Under as of race day) of those who can compete for prizes. Applicable discounts will be shown on the checkout page but will not exceed the current registration fee. A SHIRT is NOT INCLUDED in this $5 race fee. Shirts can be purchased at packet pickup if quantities remain.
