Centerstone's Life;Story 5K/10K for depression awareness and suicide prevention
THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this year’s Life;Story 5K/10K Run and Walk for depression awareness and suicide prevention.
Life;Story is an event bringing our community together to raise awareness and funding that will save the lives of people who are loved – whose Life;Story matters. Depression and suicide are very serious issues in our communities, and Life;Story celebrates the hope and healing that can be found through caring family, community, and professional support and services.
We hope you were able to stay for the program and hear the inspirational messages of HOPE from our speakers - Mike Coleman and Debbie Bacon, Rich Walker, and Nik Wallenda.
Thank you to Sarasota Dove Release, Manatee High School, Booker High School, Nik Wallenda, Bayside Community Church, and Flutterby Gardens for their participation in the Opening Ceremony, Race Start, and Program.
Race results may be found at Life;Story results at Fit2Run.com. Congratulations to the Run and Walk winners, the Kid's Run winners, as well as the winners of the school participation trophies.
A special thank you to Centerstone’s first Life;Story Champion – Deputy Tara Burge.
As you are in the community, please thank our sponsors shown on the left side of this page who generously supported Life;Story this year.
Remember, depression is treatable and suicide is preventable. You are not alone. Your Life;Story matters.
