Move Your Feet So Others Can Eat! Now in our 8th year, the Drumstick Dash 5K and Half a Drumstick 2.5K presented by Pick 'n Save has become a Milwaukee Family Thanksgiving Day tradition! All adult participants will receive a navy blue, ultra soft pocketed hoodie with registration. Kids 5-12 will receive a free t-shirt!

Run or walk at Miller Park with friends and family to benefit your neighbors in need. The annual food drive along with donations and a portion of your registration fee will benefit Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin. Bernie Brewer and Dash the Turkey will be wandering around for a cool photo opp! Plus, score your chance to win awesome prizes by wearing fun costumes! Run solo or create a team!

Not in town on Thankgiving? RUN VIRTUALLY from wherever you are, and still receive your commemorative bib and pocketed hoodie! Additional fee applies for international shipping.

Food Drive

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin recommends the following items, but will take any nonperishable donations. Monetary donations will also be collected race day at Packet Pick-Up. $1 = 3 Meals for someone in need! Volunteers will be on hand collecting food just outside Miller Park at the Clock Tower entrance.

- Juice & Canned Fruit

- Pasta & Rice

- Soup

In eastern Wisconsin, 1 in 7 people are facing hunger!

Everyone is welcome to make a donation! Please visit Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin’s website to make a donation.

At the start line there will be 4 divisions. Look for the division signs and line up accordingly!

**Kids will be allowed to line up in any division so they can run with their parents. Please be conscious with children and line up towards the back.**

Half a Drumstick

Don't have the appetite for an entire 5K course?

Run or walk the Half A Drumstick! (2.5K / 1.55 miles)

Run Virtual

Won't be in Milwaukee for Thanksgiving?

Do the "Virtual Drumstick Dash"! Your registration will include an ultra soft blue race hoodie! The hoodie will be mailed to you at the address you provide on the registration form.

*Please note that we cannot guarantee that your race hoodie will be delivered by Thanksgiving.

PARTICIPANT PROTECTION COVID-19 PLAN

WHAT IF THE EVENT IS CANCELLED DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC?

If the in-person event is cancelled by the University of Wisconsin, the City of Madison, Dane County, the State of Wisconsin, the Federal Government or Race Officials due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, registered in-person race participants will be able to choose one of the following options based on when the event cancellation occurs*:

  • If the in-person event is cancelled prior to April 15, 2022, participants may choose to have their in-person race registration fee:
    • Refunded in full, less any processing fees*
    • Converted from in-person registration to virtual registration**
    • Deferred to 2023 event registration (no extra fee to participate in 2023)
    • Donated to support Girls on the Run South Central Wisconsin
  • If the in-person event is cancelled April 15 – June 14, 2022, participants may choose to have their in-person race registration fee:
    • Refunded 50%, less any processing fees*
    • Converted from in-person registration to virtual registration**
    • Deferred to 2023 event registration (no extra fee to participate in 2023)
    • Donated to support Girls on the Run South Central Wisconsin 50%
  • If the in-person event is cancelled June 15 – Race Day, participants may choose to have their in-person race registration fee:
    • Converted from in-person registration to virtual registration**
    • Deferred to 2023 event registration (no extra fee to participate in 2023)
    • Donated to support Girls on the Run South Central Wisconsin 50%

*Applies to in-person event registration only.

**If the in-person event is cancelled, only those registered for a virtual race experience will receive the 2022 race kit.

All store purchased items are non-refundable and will be shipped to the participants in the event that the race is transformed into a Virtual Only Event.
