2019 Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend - 10k Dream Team Selection

CANADA'S BIGGEST MARATHON WEEKEND

Every year, dozens of sponsors, charities and community partners, over 2,000 volunteers, and as many as 200,000 spectators make the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend one of Ottawa’s biggest annual celebrations.

Rules

• You must make a $5 donation to Salvation Army (to help support flood victims) to enter. 
• Participants can enter as many times as they want. 
• Contest closes Friday, May 24 at midnight (ET). 
• Winner will be announced via social media and by email on Monday, May 27. 
• First place prize is $200, 2^nd place is a pair of Zizu Sunglasses, and 3^rd place is a Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend Timex watch. 
• Scoring is as follows: 
  • All 29 athletes in the team competition will be assigned a point based on their finishing position against the other athletes in the team competition - regardless of gender, e.g., 1^st across the finish line gets 1 point, 2^nd gets 2 points, 3^rd gets points, etc. An athlete that does not start or finish gets 30 points. 
  • The points of the athletes will be added up to determine the team score.
  • The team with the least points wins. 
  • In event of a tie, the person who registered their team first will win.

The elite women will be given a 3min 40sec head start on the men.
