THE VARNICK
Join us for a fun run benefiting the John Varnick family. John was a Husband, Father, Friend and Warrior who inspired a community with his tenacious spirit and joyous heart while fighting cancer. The original run was planned within a 36 hour period to show our support for John in his fight and his dream to run his first half marathon. Highly successful and moving, John went on to complete another half at St Jude while undergoing chemo treatments in which he became a beacon of encouragement to the kids facing their own battles showing them you never give up and to embrace every day fully!
In February of 2016, we lost our brother but we will continue to honor him and tell his story to encourage others.
Along with the half marathon, we will also have a 5k for participants!
Medals will be awarded to all finishers of the half marathon. The main focus of the half is completing your goal! It was Varnick's wish to have all runners cross the finish line with the focus being the journey and encouraging others!
NEW THIS YEAR! We will have placements in our 5k race!
