ERS Elevate Challenge

What’s your elevation gain? How far are you willing to climb? The ERS would like to find out….

Welcome to the 2019 ERS Elevate Challenge Presented by On Running and MROC Training. On Labor Day weekend (Aug 31-Sept 2), the ERS will be hosting a VIRTUAL elevation gain challenge to all Runners, Walkers, and Hikers. All participants, regardless of your location, will have 3 days to gain as much elevation as possible, which translates into plenty of hill repeats (YES!)

IMPORTANT CHALLENGE NOTES:
1. The ERS is still having problems setting up an actual 3 day event, and the staff at Strava has recommended that we set up 3 daily events over the course of the weekend which we are NOT going to do, we feel that it is easier if all participants track their own elevation gains over these 3 days, and submit your GPS info to us via email, this info MUST show amount of elevation climbed from Aug 31-Sept 2 

2. To be officially signed up for the Elevate Challenge you MUST register through this webpage, if you do not you will not be eligble for prizes or finishers medal

The challenge includes a Virtual Challenge Medal, ERS Sticker, and ERS Branded Sunglasses, 1-day pass to MROC training facility (San Diego residents only)

The top 3 participants with the most elevation gains, at the conclusion of the challenge, will receive the following:

1^st Place: Pair of ON Running Shoes

2^nd Place: $75.00 Gift Certificate (Runners Roost or Fleet Feet)

3^rd Place: 1 Free Race Entry to the ERS (Good for any Half or 10K distance) 

TRACKING YOUR PROGRESS/REPORTING: ERS Elevate Challenge participants will track their elevation gains through their preferred GPS app/watch. Once challenge is completed all participants will have 24 hours to email GPS results to jeff@enduranceraceseries.com. After 24 hours... winners will be announced on the ERS website and social media. 

RECEIVING YOUR MEDAL/SWAG: Once the Elevate Challenge has been completed, participants will be able to PICK UP their Medal and ERS Swag at Fleet Feet (San Diego), or Runners Roost (Denver). Please note if you participate and live outside of San Diego County or CO Front Range Area, your Medal and swag will be mailed to you.

Don’t forget about the social photos (CONTEST!):

The second part of the challenge is all about the photos! We will be selecting 1 winner, for the best photo in the Challenge (i.e, our favorite, most creative, etc..). Have fun with it, or just be yourself. All participants wanting a chance to win the photo contest prize MUST follow the ERS on Instagram (@ersevents) AND use tag #ERSELEVATE in your post

For extra consideration with your photo…include any ERS gear, On Running Shoes, or MROC gear in your photo when posting (not required though)
