Crime Prevention 5K Run/Walk

Registration and Post-Race Activities at Bienville Square in downtown Mobile.

Distance:

Certified 5K (AL13038JD) course in downtown Mobile. Fluids will be provided along the race course.

Registration:

Pre-register by mail (entries should be postmarked by August 1), in person at McCoy Outdoor, Run-N-Tri, or Fleet Feet in Mobile or Running Wild in Fairhope until noon on August 5, or online at raceroster.com until 4 AM August 6.  

Race day registration and packet pick-up in Bienville Square from 5 - 6 PM.  

Awards:

Top male and female Overall, Masters, Grandmasters, Senior Grandmasters and Race Walkers. Top three male and female in age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+.   

**Special prize to anyone breaking the course record (current record - 15:06)

Shirts:

Participants registered by July 25 will be guaranteed a t-shirt on race day.  Shirts as available on race day - shirts will not be reordered after the race.

Post-Race Party:

Food and beverages will be provided after the race. All registered participants will be eligible for the many fantastic door prizes.  To be eligible for the grand door prize of two travel tickets, you must be pre-registered by 4 AM August 6.  You must be present to win any of the door prizes.

Weather Plan:

The MPD and Crime Prevention officials reserve the right to cancel or postpone the start of the event if weather conditions are deemed unsafe for participants, spectators, and volunteers.  No refunds will be issued if race is canceled due to extreme weather.
