Mather High School is excited for the 2nd annual 5k run/walk. Join us for this great event in the West Ridge Neighborhood. We anticipate more than 300 runners and walkers not only from the West Ridge Neighborhood but many surrounding neighborhoods as well. The race course winds around Mather High School and ends at the Mather Plaza on California Ave. All participants receive a custom designed t-shirt, a "goody-bag", and post-race refreshments. Following the 5k run/walk there will be a celebration on the plaza, filled with a post-race yoga workout, refreshments, and entertainment.

Race Info

Race Timing

The Ranger Dash uses a disposable chip timing tag that runners receive at packet pick up on their race bibs. It is lightweight and remains attached to the race bib. 

Runners MUST wear their race bibs on the front of their clothing in order to be timed accurately. The bib cannot be covered, holding it in your hand or putting it in your pocket will NOT read the chip. Do not bend the chip.  Smart watches such as Garmin and smart phones can interfere with the timing chip frequency.  Please do not adjust your watch or phone as you cross the finish line and come through the chute.  Disputes for times on Smart watches and smart phones will not be taken into consideration. 

Packet Pick-Up 

ALL PACKET PICK UP WILL BE ON RACE DAY from 7-7:45 am!  

Timing Categories

Top Male and Female overall Winner.  Timing categories for age groups - No Awards: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & older.

·Start line is slightly south of the southernmost light pole in the parking lot just north of the Drivers Ed lot. 

·Proceed north 

·Turn left (west) on Thorndale

·Turn right (north) on Richmond

·Turn right (east) on sidewalk on the south side of Peterson

·Turn right (south) on sidewalk on west side of California

·Turn right (northwest) on sidewalk on Lincoln 

·Turn right (northeast) street on south side of the Mather Fine Arts building

·Turn right (east) on Mozart

·Turn left (north) on sidewalk on west side of California

·Turn left (west) on Thorndale

·Turn right (northwest) onto trail around practice fields

·Follow trail east and south all the way around practice fields back to Thorndale

·Turn left (east) on Thorndale

·Turn right (south) on sidewalk on west side of California

·Turn right (northwest) on sidewalk on Lincoln 

·Turn right (northeast) street on south side of the Mather Fine Arts building

·Turn right (east) on Mozart

·Turn left (north) on sidewalk on west side of California

·Turn left (west) onto sidewalk on the south side of Peterson

·Turn left (south) on Richmond

·Turn left (east) on Thorndale

·Turn right (south) back into the parking lot to finish
