Visionary members of our community created an independent charity to respond to the rising cost of delivering quality healthcare to residents of the Saanich Peninsula and Gulf Islands.
Since its formation, the Saanich Peninsula Hospital & Healthcare Foundation has raised almost $50 million dollars for equipment, facilities and programs at the hospital.

The Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation was founded in 1985 by a group of Peninsula residents who wanted to support their community hospital. Its mission is to provide up-to-date equipment and facilities to support the Saanich Peninsula Hospital in promoting healthcare excellence. In 2019, the foundation changed its name to the Saanich Peninsula Hospital & Healthcare Foundation to reflect its expanded mission to provide the best possible and most compassionate healthcare for every person in the community, and to enable access to health care services throughout the Peninsula and Southern Gulf Islands communities for every resident.
