Run like a Fox or be a Turkey on Thanksgiving Day!

 


The Fox and the Turkey four mile and youth one mile races is a family tradition! This is the 23rd year offering this Thanksgiving Day event. The four mile race is for everyone, and the youth mile for those 12 years and younger. All races will start and finish in downtown Batavia on the beautiful Fox River.

For those who register by Sunday, November 24, pre-race packet pick up will be available on Wednesday, November 27 from 12 to 6:30 PM at the Holmstad Retirement Community.

Race day registration and packet pick up is 6:30 to 8:00 AM at the Batavia United Methodist Church's Community Building located at 21 N. Water Street, Batavia.

Awards

4 Mile awards for the overall top three male and female winners as well as top three male and females in the following age groups: 0-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34. 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75 and over. Overall male and female winners are not eligible for age group awards.

Youth Mile awards, for those 12 year and under, will be given to the top 3 finishers in these age groups: 0-7, 8-9, 10-12. Finisher ribbons will be given to all finishers.

Additional Information

Race headquarters is at the Peg Bond Center located at 151 N. Island Avenue, Batavia, IL 60510. The Peg Bond Center is located behind the band shell near the intersections of Houston and Island Street.

There are no deferrals or refunds. Transfers in the same race event are permissible if done by November 19. For answers to your question please contat us.
