The Sneads Ferry Community Council is happy to reintroduce the Sneads Ferry Shrimp Scamper, promoting wellness through exercise and community with neighbors. The Shrimp Scamper is a 5k run/walk which runs out along the waterfront of Sneads Ferry, following much of the Shrimp Festival Parade Route. Enjoy the sunrise over the water as you descend along the first half. The second half is a slight incline but mostly shaded. All 5k participants will receive a finisher medal as they complete; top finishers will receive placement engravings on those medals along with some goodies from some local businesses. This race is not electronically timed, but we will have a race clock at the finish line so each runner can capture their own time. Race Shirts available for purchase separately during registration.
The Shrimp Scamper is a subset of the Sneads Ferry Community Council, which is a not-for-profit organization providing enrichment opportunities through theater, festivals and community fellowship, providing a venue for other charities and non-profits, and providing funding for scholarships to area students as well as contribution to other area non-profits.

Race Route
The 5k race will turn left off Park Ln onto Sneads Ferry Road, take a left at the fork onto Fulcher Landing Rd, following the road along the waterfront to continue on Fulcher Landing Loop Rd. Runners will turn left on John Everett Dr, returning to Fulcher Landing Rd and back to the Sneads Ferry Community Center on Park Ln. A water stop will be located at the fork of Fulcher Landing Rd and John Everett Dr (mile markers 1 and 2.2) 
Finisher Medal
Every 5k finisher will receive a custom glow-in-the-dark medal.
