IMPORTANT RACE UPDATE - PLEASE READ | |
At Vision Event Management, the safety, health and well-being of all our event participants is our foremost priority. The current situation with coronavirus (COVID-19) has all of us concerned. Due to the rapidly evolving nature of this virus, the Lucky Leprechaun 7K in Wauwatosa scheduled for March 14, 2020, is now a virtual run only, out of an abundance of caution and care for our greater public. All participant race packets will be mailed in lieu of an in-person Packet Pick-up. Within the next week at the address provided during registration, participants will receive a race t-shirt, one Jimmy John's free sandwich coupon, coupons from Performance Running Outfitters and Orangetheory Fitness, and, for those 21 or older, a coupon valid for one free Miller Lite at Leff's Lucky Town. Your commemorative bib may be downloaded and printed by clicking here. Promotional beanies will be mailed as well to those who earned or purchased them. Once you receive your t-shirt, we encourage you to run or walk that 7K distance safely in your community on your own timeline. Please share your photos with uson social, and easily submit results by clicking here. Please take pride in knowing that even with the Lucky Leprechaun 7K now a virtual run, we are still honoring our donation commitment to the MACC Fund. We are grateful for your support in making that happen. MACC Fund President and CEO Becky Pinter would like to add, "While we will miss seeing everyone in person at the Lucky Leprechaun 7K, we want to echo the sentiments of our partners at Vision Event Management that the safety, health and well-being of all our event participants, spectators and volunteers is our foremost priority. We want to thank all those who will be participating in the virtual run to show their support and look forward to seeing everyone again in 2021." This was a difficult decision, and we realize disappointing news for many, but in monitoring updates from health organizations and communicating with municipal agencies, it became clear that assembling a large group of participants during this period of uncertainly is not in our collective best health and well-being interest. Ultimately and unfortunately, we realized we couldn't properly protect our runners, walkers, volunteers, partners, staff and spectators at the heightened level necessary while still producing an event of the caliber you have come to expect from Vision Event Management. This is a challenging time for all of us. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we all navigate through this dynamic situation. It is a privilege for us to be able to put on active lifestyle events in communities such as Wauwatosa, and we look forward to seeing you all soon. With respect, Jeff Graves President Vision Event Management |
