The Blarney Blitz 5K is Central Illinois'
St. Patrick's Day themed race.
In 2019, over 1100 participants started their St. Paddy's celebration with the Blarney Blitz!!
The event takes place the Saturday before St. Patrick's Day - March 14, 2020 - and includes a 5K run/walk, post-race party with LIVE Irish music, food, green drinks, and a shamROCKIN' good time!!!
We kick everything off with a 5K run/walk at 8:00 AM, and then finish up at Kelleher's Irish Pub on Water St. for a St. Paddy's Party that won't disappoint!

Blarney Blitz!
- This flat 5K course takes place along Peoria's riverfront with the start and finish outside of Kelleher's Irish Pub on SW Water St. near the corner of Walnut and Water Streets.
- Each participant will receive a race beer stein, 1 Blarney finisher medal, 1 drink token, beads, and entrance to the post-race party with LIVE Irish music from Turas! **Please note - Race swag (stein and beads) are limited first 1200 participants registered. There are no refunds for this event.
- Party with us after the race at Kelleher's Irish Pub! We'll have LIVE music from the Irish band Turas. Plus, race participants will receive 1 drink token and a small spread of light appetizers. Participants will have the option to purchase additional tokens for $3 each during registration.
- Age Group Awards are awarded to the Top overall male and female and to the Top 3 male and female in each age group.
- Age Groups include: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+
